Contrary to popular belief you need more than just a great personality to be a top sales person!

Whether you're new to sales or have been selling for a while, your success can be improved by learning proven sales techniques. Research into what makes sales people effective highlighted a consistent approach.  Modern technology has made the role of the sales person as ‘information giver’ redundant, so we need to find new ways of adding value.

This course breaks down the sales process and teaches delegates how to follow a structured approach.  In addition it focuses on the core skills needed by sales people to be successful in today’s highly competitive and crowded market place.  The theory taught on the course is re-enforced through plenty of practical exercises and role-plays.

Course Objectives

  • To enable the delegates to model their behaviour on that used by successful sales people.
  • Help delegates understand the sales process by deconstructing it.
  • Improve sales skills through exercises and role-plays.

Areas Covered

  • The Sales Process
  • Opening the sale
  • Questioning techniques
  • Identifying customers needs
  • Talking benefits not features
  • Closing techniques and overcoming objections

Target Audience

Sales executives, sales managers and account managers.  This course is not suitable for re-active enquiry handlers (see Enquiry Handling for Increased Profit).
